How to ask for money

I saw this excellent Kickstarter interview on Bleu, the entrepreneurial-style musician who earned $40k to start a record label.  What I love most about this interview are Blue's five steps on how to ask for money:

Start out reminding people who you are and why they like you:

  • Tell them your story (it'll be different for every person).
  • Ask them for money.
  • Tell them what they are going to get for their money.
  • Tell them, "Thank You."

There are a million different ways you can put those five things together, so make it your own.
